Purpose of this policy
This policy sets out our approach to recruitment of volunteers and is intended to ensure that:
- A standard approach is adopted.
- Roles are filled by applicants with the skills, experience and commitment needed.
- Our decisions are fair and based on appropriate "due diligence" checks.
- We provide equal opportunity to all candidates and respect the value of diversity
Process
- Prospective volunteers will receive an application form and an information sheet about the role.
- There may be age requirements in relation to some volunteering opportunities
- There may be a requirement to supply references or DBS checks in relation to some volunteering opportinities
- We will try to give our decision to the prospective volunteer quickly.
