The Anxious Generation

Is there a connnection between Gen-Z anxiety and smartphones/social media? Why is it a hot topic in education right now? Largely because of the NYT best-seller "The Anxious Generation" which investigates this question on both sides of the Atlantic.

Please note that the book's arguments are not solely about smartphones and social media. The back of the book contains an "action plan", and the dedicated web site features a "Thought Starter for Educators" with a set of talking points for discussion.
